Deze True Ballistic Chronograph CE snelheidsmeter van FX Outdoors maakt gebruik van een radarstraal die het traject van een kogel analyseert. Hij geeft de snelheid van een kogel weer tussen 400 en 4000 fps (122 en 1220 m/s). Ook geeft hij meerdere snelheidsmetingen weer op vooraf ingestelde afstanden. De snelheidsmeter is erg compact en hoeft alleen maar naast het wapen geplaatst en naar het doel gericht te worden om nauwkeurige metingen te verrichten. Ook als het regent, want dat heeft geen invloed op de functies.
De FX Outdoors True Ballistic CE snelheidsmeter heeft afmetingen van 19x25 cm en weegt slechts 820 gram. Opladen kan gedaan worden via de USB-C poort. Daarnaast zorgt de bluetooth functie voor verbinding met de FX Radar app. Knoppen rondom het scherm laten je eenvoudig door het menu navigeren om bijvoorbeeld instelling aan te passen. Zo kunnen de eenheden aangepast worden naar fps, m/s, Joule en ft/lbs. Ook kan de radarfrequentie aangepast worden om het gebruik van meerdere snelheidsmeters mogelijk te maken.
Het LCD display van de FX Outdoors True Ballistic CE snelheidsmeter geeft de volgende statistieken weer: • Projectielsnelheid op vooraf ingestelde afstanden • Aantal schoten • De laagste, hoogste en gemiddelde gemeten snelheid • Standard deviation en spread (standaardafwijking) • Ballistische coëfficiënt (G1 of G7) • De afstand waarop de kogel subsonische snelheid bereikt
Deze CE uitvoering heeft een minder krachtig radarsignaal om te voldoen aan Europese gezondheids-, veiligheids- en milieubeschermingsnormen. Door de software bij te werken, kan de snelheidsmeter alsnog naar de FCC versie geconverteerd worden.
Geeft de maximale ballistische informatie uit één chronograaf dankzij zijn twee alternatief samenwerkende radars. Aan te bevelen voor de schutter die meer kan gebruiken dan alleen de mondingssnelheden. Wel prijzig, maar het is het waard voor wie meer inzicht wil in waarom een projectiel doet wat het doet.

This chronograph offers possibilities you may consider unnecessary at the moment—and if you're happy with getting info on the speed of a bullet at the muzzle, you may be happy with a different and cheaper product. Still, once you get interested in ballistic data, you will quickly find out that muzzle speed or energy is only part of the answer you’re looking for. This is where the FX Chrono comes in, and unless you are not the "unrecognized technician from the hidden corner," you may want to read the user manual before getting started. This manual is written in understandable language, explaining the different features of the chronograph. After reading, having installed the FX Ballistics App, you can just get started. Nothing is complicated, all easy to use and last but not least, it doesn’t only give you the answers to your questions but also helps you understand a bit more about 'the behavior' of a bullet once it has left the barrel. So, unless you’re happy with hitting the target at a defined distance or decide on less info for less money, you will very likely end up with something like this Chrono and... pretty sure it will make you happy.

It is not the first time I have ordered/bought goods from Krale, but it is the first time I would like to say a few words.
Be it in the shop itself or online via the net or, in case of questions, via the phone... I have rarely experienced such good service and/or advice as from "these guys from Krale".
In today's times, "more or less" becomes more and more a standard, and getting help on the phone turns out to be either unavailable, incompetent or "not really interested" in the question asked – NOT SO WITH KRALE.
With regard to my last order, I had a question – and it was Friday afternoon... and there was Anton answering the phone, offering his time to understand my question, digging into details, trying different solutions – and then ended up just as unsuccessful as me. He promised me though to keep personal watch over my order if I would send him a short email resuming my problem and, believe it or not, my order even arrived one day early – and this is what I understand by PERFECT SERVICE.

Absolute top product, not cheap but worth every cent. Works perfectly. You get, besides speed at preset distances (for example 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 m), also the ballistic coefficient. So if you do not know the ballistic coefficient of your bullet, you will obtain it for later use in a ballistic calculation app. The device is easy to use and in combination with the FX Ballistic app you can record and store your measurements.

Deze FX True Ballistic Chronograph heb ik aangeschaft omdat ik mijn snelheid en BC wil weten.
Besteld en de volgende dag was hij thuis bezorgd, heb de firmware direct geüpdatet naar de laatste versie, dit kost je letterlijk 1 minuut.
Daarna gewoon aanzetten, naast de buks zetten en op je target richten. Pakt gewoon alle schoten op en geeft netjes weer wat je data is.
Dit apparaat i.c.m. met de Helix 1500 Rangefinder zorgt er voor dat ik nu over alle juiste data beschik waardoor ik op iedere afstand mijn doel kan raken.
Hij is prijzig maar voor mij echt het geld waard. Buy once, cry once.

Not cheap but you pay a premium when you want certain features

It’s not cheap but I wanted to quickly measure the BC (among other things) for different projectiles. Sure, one can just shoot and do small corrections till it hits the target but this is quicker when you change the projectiles often.
For velocity, I used it up to 150 meters and it worked correctly. First time it did not measure it but then I realized it was pointing slightly too left to the target. Corrected that and then it was spot on. Today will test it to 250 meters distance but I am sure it will work just fine.
Also, I definitely prefer having a dedicated screen on the device, I find the Fx app to be a bit difficult to use.

I always had issues with the ballistic apps, and now I know why.
The BC that I measured with this fine piece of equipent is different from the BC that I found in tables on the internet. Here are some examples.
ex.1
My FX Maverick is set up for Hades 22 15.89 at 780fps. The BC was not 0.024 as found in tables but 0.030. That's a 25% difference.
ex.2
My FX M3 is shooting FX34gr pellets at 860fps. Here also the BC was not 0.046 as found in tables but 0.059. That's a 28% difference.
Now my ballistic apps are almost spot on. It's not cheap, but a good tool never is.

Eindelijk een heel draagbare performante kogelsnelheidsmeter die alle kalibers aankan en elk schot oppikt. Zeer intuïtief gebruik; even de gebruiksaanwijzing raadplegen, elementaire configuratie uitvoeren, correct uitrichten en vuren maar. Ik heb de resultaten vergeleken met de Labradar (moeilijker te configureren en pikt bijlange niet alle schoten op) en de SQi-AndiX (archaische configuratie maar verder heel handig en zeer klein) en ja, dezelfde resultaten op 1m/s na. Ik moet nu wel even de tijd nemen om de uitgebreide mogelijkheden (kogelbaanballistiek) te gebruiken en de radar te gebruiken in allerhande omstandigheden (bij gebruik mondrem, geluidsdemper, andere schutters in de buurt, binnen/buiten, enz). Indien je aarzelt welke snelheidsmeter aan te schaffen, wel aarzel dan niet en neem deze FX.
