This FX Outdoors True Ballistic CE chronograph uses a radar beam that analyzes a bullet’s trajectory. It measures bullet velocity between 400 and 4000 fps (122 and 1220 m/s). It also shows multiple velocities on pre-set distances. The chronograph is very compact and only needs to be placed next to a gun and aimed towards the target to make accurate measurements. Even when it rains, because that does not influence functionality.
The FX Outdoors True Ballistic CE chronograph features measurements of 7.4x9.6” (19x25 cm) and weighs just 1.8 lbs (820 grams). Charging it can be done through the USB-C port. Its Bluetooth function enables it to connect to the FX Radar app. Buttons on the sides of the screen allow you to easily navigate through the menu and adjust settings and parameters such as units, which can be adjusted between fps, m/s, Joules and ft/lbs. The radar frequency can also be adjusted to enable the use of multiple chronographs at once.
The LCD display of the FX Outdoors True Ballistic CE chronograph shows the following statistics: • Bullet velocity on multiple pre-set distances • Number of shots • The lowest, highest and average measured velocity • Standard deviation and spread • Ballistic coefficient (G1 or G7) • The distance on which a bullet reaches subsonic speeds
This CE version has a decreased antenna power output to conform to European health, safety, and environmental protection standards. A software update can upgrade the device to the FCC version (which complies with North American regulations).

This chronograph offers possibilities you may consider unnecessary at the moment—and if you're happy with getting info on the speed of a bullet at the muzzle, you may be happy with a different and cheaper product. Still, once you get interested in ballistic data, you will quickly find out that muzzle speed or energy is only part of the answer you’re looking for. This is where the FX Chrono comes in, and unless you are not the "unrecognized technician from the hidden corner," you may want to read the user manual before getting started. This manual is written in understandable language, explaining the different features of the chronograph. After reading, having installed the FX Ballistics App, you can just get started. Nothing is complicated, all easy to use and last but not least, it doesn’t only give you the answers to your questions but also helps you understand a bit more about 'the behavior' of a bullet once it has left the barrel. So, unless you’re happy with hitting the target at a defined distance or decide on less info for less money, you will very likely end up with something like this Chrono and... pretty sure it will make you happy.

It is not the first time I have ordered/bought goods from Krale, but it is the first time I would like to say a few words.
Be it in the shop itself or online via the net or, in case of questions, via the phone... I have rarely experienced such good service and/or advice as from "these guys from Krale".
In today's times, "more or less" becomes more and more a standard, and getting help on the phone turns out to be either unavailable, incompetent or "not really interested" in the question asked – NOT SO WITH KRALE.
With regard to my last order, I had a question – and it was Friday afternoon... and there was Anton answering the phone, offering his time to understand my question, digging into details, trying different solutions – and then ended up just as unsuccessful as me. He promised me though to keep personal watch over my order if I would send him a short email resuming my problem and, believe it or not, my order even arrived one day early – and this is what I understand by PERFECT SERVICE.

Absolute top product, not cheap but worth every cent. Works perfectly. You get, besides speed at preset distances (for example 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 m), also the ballistic coefficient. So if you do not know the ballistic coefficient of your bullet, you will obtain it for later use in a ballistic calculation app. The device is easy to use and in combination with the FX Ballistic app you can record and store your measurements.

Not cheap but you pay a premium when you want certain features

It’s not cheap but I wanted to quickly measure the BC (among other things) for different projectiles. Sure, one can just shoot and do small corrections till it hits the target but this is quicker when you change the projectiles often.
For velocity, I used it up to 150 meters and it worked correctly. First time it did not measure it but then I realized it was pointing slightly too left to the target. Corrected that and then it was spot on. Today will test it to 250 meters distance but I am sure it will work just fine.
Also, I definitely prefer having a dedicated screen on the device, I find the Fx app to be a bit difficult to use.
