The Weihrauch HW50 S is a proven medium-heavy sporting and training air rifle suitable for all types of leisure and sporting use. The HW50 S has a solid construction with a powerful piston spring and excellent accuracy. It also features an automatic safety, match type trigger "Rekord", tunnel front sight with interchangeable inserts, micrometer sight adjustable for windage and elevation with four different notches, beechwood ambidextrous stock with long and handy forearm and cheekpiece on both sides, checkering on pistol grip and forearm.
Love the rifle. I got it in .177, and it shoots most pellets in the mid 700's.
Very accurate with open sights. Wood is beautifully finished with nice grain, not too dark and not too light. Mine is very hard to cock for the lower power level it provides. The RWS 48 and RWS 34 I have are both easier to cock.
No twang on mine. All screws will need loctite. The metal finish on the trigger guard and the globe sight could have been better(mold lines and tool marks) but are still better than plastic. I believe the T06 trigger is as good or better than the Rekord. First purchase from Krale, 3 days to ky. No damage, well packaged.

The HW50S looks great and is very accurate. I am using the excellent open sights. At 16 yards, it is pellet on pellet. It is too cold to try longer ranges. The pellet I used was the JSB 8.02 grain wadcutter. The cocking effort was not a problem. It only took 2 days to get to Montana USA! It is a pleasure to shoot.

I got my 50 yesterday. I ordered late Thursday night in the US, and it showed up on the West coast Monday. Absolutely brilliant.
The rifle itself is doing essentially a single hole at 20 yards benched.
Only issue is it seems to have some droop. Not a big deal.

HW50 the surprise HW

Straight out of the box it was performing better than many so called 'tuned' HWs I've shot. Full U.K. power (11.4ft/bs in .177 - theres no need to risk going closer to the legal limit.) Even the trigger was set up nice from the factory. Shooting it, there was little, if any spring noise or vibration. I had intended to strip, tune and re-lube but no need. Consistency over my chrono put many of my pcp's to shame. A very underrated and forgotten HW. Why pay more?

Very consistent. ( 10f.p.s. variation over 10 shots) 805 - 815 straight out of the box. 11.4ft/lbs. Ideal

Best air rifle in this price range

I’ve put about 100 pellets through it and I’m getting about the same results as with my HW97KT. I’m using H&N Field Target Trophy’s. It’s more or less hole in hole at 10 meters when using a rest. The mechanical parts are thighs and symmetrically machined, and the stock is beautiful. It’s easy and smooth to cock. A great rifle for teens and up. It’s not very powerful, but getting precice shots at 25 meters is no problem. It’s a well balanced gun with a good power to weight ratio. I was not surprised since all Weihrauch rifles I’ve tried have been top notch, but for about 200€ this is indeed a remarkable air rifle.

Excellent service from Krale, the gun arrived in good shape and delivery was fast.
The HW50s looks nice. It has a 2-piece cocking lever making the slot underneath the wood stock very short which I find appealing. The chisel barrel latch is a little harder to break open compare to a ball latch but some said the barrel lockup is tighter yielding better accuracy. The firing cycle has vibration, but no “twang” and no “thump” either. I didn’t notice any muzzle jump and only a little bit of recoil that comes straight back to my shoulder. If it’s not for the vibration, this gun would be DEAD CALM. I think if I tuned this gun, it will be DEAD CALM. I wish Krale offers this gun in 7.5 Joules because (1) at lower power the firing cycle will be smoother and less vibration and (2) it can be use in NRA Sporter 10-Meter Air Rifle competitions.
