Airsoft sniper replicas

Anyone looking for an airsoft sniper rifle replica won’t be disappointed as we stock plenty of snipers in both our online shop and in our store in the Netherlands.

Most commonly airsoft snipers are bolt action rifles which give for a very realistic feel and action but also provide an extra challenge as multiple shots take some time to succeed each other, meaning when you use a sniper you have to have or gain some qualities:

  • Camouflage: as a sniper you are relatively vulnerable because of the small amount of BB’s that can be fired. This is partly because of the realistic bolt action that only allows one BB to be fired, but also the usually low capacity of the magazines. So it’s key you operate as invisible as possible and for this reason camouflage clothing is often used as are Ghillie suits.
  • Precision: a shot can betray your position, alerting others so the first shot has to make a hit. Snipers spend a lot of time getting to know their sniper rifle and practice shooting long distance.
  • Tactics: it’s important to take a tactical position that gives a good view of the playfield without being visible yourself. Besides that, a sniper has to move position very quickly. And last but not least, patience is of utter performance as waiting for the perfect shot can take a long time.

Airsoft snipers normally fire BB’s with a higher velocity than conventional airsoft replicas. For this, often restrictions are put in place but they can vary from country to country. In The Netherlands a 499 fps limit us often implied (measured with a 0.3 grams BB) to keep things safe, having a minimum shooting distance to the target of 25 meters with BB’s not heavier than 0.4 grams.

The use of 0.4 grams BB’s in a sniper gives the advantage of a maximum reach but this will only work in highly tuned snipers that are given other barrels et cetera. Standard snipers most often perform better with lighter BB’s. We suggest taking extra care to set up your hop-up to give the BB a trajectory as flat as possible. The further the target, the higher you have to aim and with a hop-up perfectly adjusted to the weight of your BB, that height difference can be reduced to the minimum, optimising accuracy.

Absolute must-have sniper replica accessories

We mentioned the fact wearing camouflage is an absolute must when using an airsoft sniper but even more important is a good rifle scope. With a sniper you shoot over a large distance and a rifle scope is simply a necessity for an accurate shot. Both camouflage wear as rifle scopes are readily available in our store and webshop.
