Walther LG500 Itec M Anatomic

The Walther LG500 itec M Anatomic is part of the immensely successful LG500 series. This variant of the series is equipped with a laminated wooden stock and a mechanical trigger.

Performance

One of the most important aspects of a 10-metre competition air rifle is the stability of the rifle. The barrel is supported by a specially developed bedding, without putting tension on the barrel itself. Minute adjustments in the position of the barrel in the bedding can be made in height and laterally, in order to optimally support the barrel. The laminated wooden stock improves stability even further, as the laminated wood barely expands or contracts under temperature fluctuations.

This air rifle has a capacity of up to 500 shots per fill, thanks to its 300-bar air cylinder and an inventive compressed air system. A special ECO valve ensures that the consumption of compressed air is as efficient as possible. The result is not only a reduction in the volume of air that is used, but also a recoil reduction and a shorter lock time. This shorter lock time means that there is less time between pulling the trigger and the actual firing of the shot. This minimises the risk of small movements impacting the shot before the pellet leaves the barrel.

An integrated shock damping mechanism also assists in improving accuracy, by reducing recoil and muzzle climb to an absolute minimum. The loading mechanism adds to this, with smooth operation that negates almost any vibration. As a result, the shooter can fire as accurately as possible while remaining on target.

Trigger

The mechanical two-stage trigger is adjustable in the following ways:

• 1^st stage pull weight
• 2^nd stage pull weight
• 1^st stage trigger travel
• Trigger stop to minimise overtravel
• Height of the trigger blade
• Angle of the trigger blade

The trigger pull weight can be adjusted between 50 and 120 grams, making it extremely sensitive. For dry-fire practice, a switch can be flipped below the loading port.

Ergonomics

Using 90-gram balancing weights in the buttstock and forend, the Walther LG500 itec M Anatomic can be balanced perfectly. In addition, the length of pull can be adjusted with a stepless gear-adjustment, along with the cheek rest. The butt plate is also infinitely adjustable in height, angle and shape. Furthermore, the pistol grip is adjustable both laterally and longitudinally, as well as in height and angle relative to the stock. On the forend, an articulated hand rest is attached to provide additional support to the shooter. This rest can be adjusted in height, angle and can be swivelled horizontally. As a result, this air rifle can be adjusted just right for every individual shooter.
