Presslug Slug Press
The Presslug manual slug press enables shooters to make their own slugs for air rifles. Thanks to the low tolerances, these slugs are extremely consistent in shape and weight, which translates into more consistent shooting results.
Consistency of ammunition is always of great importance, regardless of the rifle or ammunition in question. By minimising the variations in ammunition, the impact of external factors on the trajectory of the projectile is reduced. As a result, the shooter has more impact on the accuracy of the shot, which allows for a higher level of precision. The Presslug allows the shooter to produce their own slugs with the press, with extremely high consistency.
Another advantage of the Presslug is that the measurements of the slugs can be varied, allowing for experimentation and perfection of these measurements. At the same time, experimenting is much cheaper, as the ammunition is home-made.
The Presslug slug press is manufactured from durable anodised aluminium, with a tool steel die and die holder. This results in a sturdy press, without becoming overly heavy. The pressing itself is relatively simple: first the length of the slug needs to be set, after which a piece of lead wire can be placed in the press. A slug is pressed by pulling the handle down. The die then presses the lead against a pin. This perfectly forms the slug, while getting rid of excess lead. The handle can then be pulled back up, after which the slug can be removed from the press.
