This means it provides maximum stability for the Leupold Deltapoint red dot you’ll be mounting onto it. The Leupold Deltapoint mounting base is entirely black, matching it to the slide of the Walther PDP  that it is compatible with. That PDP has an optics-ready slide, which means there’s a removable plate towards the back of the slide. You can replace that plate with this Walther PDP V2 Leupold Deltapoint mounting base.
