This Casström Safari Olive hunting knife is designed by the well-known English custom knife maker Alan Woods. His initial design was meant for deer stalkers that went for roe deer and muntjac, but soon was equally appreciated by elk hunters and then became popular on safari’s. That’s where the final design of this hunting knife got its name from.
The Casström Safari Olive is a nice and compact hunting knife, with a tapered full tang that gives it a perfect balance. The concave grind lets this knife slice delicately with the bare minimum of friction, while leaving a broad back to give it a good strength.
Casström made the blade from Sandvik 12V27 stainless steel, that is as hard and tough as carbon steel. With a hardness of HRC 59, the Casström Safari Olive hunting knife is easy to sharpen and will keep its edge for a very long time.
Waterproof G10 is used for the handle, it’s an incredibly tough and durable material that’s made up from woven glass fibre and synthetic resin that’s heated and compressed under high pressure. By using G10, the handle feels solid, comfortable and offers a good grip, even when wet. A metal bushed eye provides for the opportunity to attach a lanyard.
We supply the Casström Safari Olive hunting knife in a vegetable tanned leather sheath.
