HikMicro A7E Action Camera

The A7E action camera by HikMicro offers the possibility to record all of your fired shots. Images with a quality up to 4K and up to 120 fps can be recorded.

Image fidelity

Notable about this camera is the high image quality, combined with the limited weight of 138.6 grams. The image quality can be adjusted depending on the user requirements, where a trade-off takes place between resolution (in pixels) and the number of frames per second (fps). Is there a preference for a sharper image? Then there is a reduction in frames per second. The same applies to magnification: the larger the magnification, the lower the number of pixels.

• 4K: 60 fps with 2x magnification
• 7K: 90 fps with 3x magnification
• 1080p: 120 fps with 2x or 4x magnification
• 720p: 120 fps with 6x or 8x magnification

Use

Even though the camera can of course be used as a handheld, it is intended to record imagery while mounted on a rifle. For this purpose, it can record constantly, but there is also a recoil-activated option which only saves footage around the moment of the shot. There are different settings for this, allowing for the adjustment of the recording time. After a period of inactivity, the camera enters standby mode. It can be awakened from standby through different methods: by raising the camera up at a certain angle, by tapping the camera or rifle, or by pressing the ‘on’ button.

Recorded images can be downloaded with a smartphone through a Bluetooth connection. There is also an option to connect the camera with the HikMicro app, which offers additional features and information.
