Product description

This G&G SSG-1 AEG airsoft replica is specially designed for use during Speedsoft matches. That’s also what the abbreviation SSG stands for: SpeedSoft Gun. This replica has a housing and stock that are both made of impact-resistant polymer and the outer barrel is made of sturdy aluminium. That outer barrel is exposed and not covered by a handguard. The lack of a handguard makes it so the SSG-1 by G&G slightly resembles a paintball marker.

The pistol-style grip has a rough texture on both sides and it feels great to hold in your hand. The front of the housing is slightly concave, so you can firmly hold the replica with your off-hand just above the magwell. There’s a Weaver/Picatinny scope rail on top of the upper receiver, which can be used to mount something like a red dot.

Something that stands out with this G&G SSG-1 is the blade-trigger. That elongated trigger allows you to maintain an extremely fast, semi-automatic rate of fire, with some practice. Successfully doing so allows you to use a rapid ROF on fields where you can only use semi-automatic firing modes. This SSG-1 airsoft replica also features a fully automatic firing mode and a programmable burst mode.

The stock, too, was specifically designed for speedsoft. It’s length-adjustable so you can easily find the most comfortable LOP. But you can also adjust the stock’s angle. It’s secured in place with a bolt, which can be loosened with an Allen key. Doing so will allow you to change the angle of the stock until it’s in a comfortable position. This is especially useful in speedsoft, considering speedsofters often use heavy face masks or even helmets. Changing the angle of the stock allows you to create more room for face protection. After you’ve found the right angle, you can lock the bolt with an Allen key. Removing the butt stock will provide access to the battery compartment in the buffer tube.

Other than most other G&G replicas that put the MOSFET in the battery compartment, this replica has a compartment specifically for the MOSFET. That compartment is located on the housing’s rear, just above the buffer tube. You can remove the cover to access the MOSFET. Located right above that MOSFET-compartment is the charging handle. Pulling the charging handle back will open the dust cover and allow access to the adjustable hop-up in the ejector. The G&G SSG-1 airsoft replica has a functional bolt catch, so you won’t have to keep the ejector open manually as you’re adjusting the hop-up.

This AEG airsoft replica comes with a see-through magazine that has a capacity of 105 BBs. The magazine features yellow markings in various spots, which indicate how many BBs are left in the magazine once you’ve reached that specific point. This means you’ll be able to easily gauge if a reload is coming up.
