The Wheeler FAT Wrench AutoTorque is a battery-powered electric screwdriver designed specifically for use in gunsmithing. It has been engineered for the precise installation of optics, scope bases, and action screws, while preventing over-tightening thanks to its integrated torque limiter.

When the pre-set torque value is reached, the motor automatically stops as a result of the built-in torque limiter. This ensures that fasteners are tightened with precision – neither too loose nor overtightened – which is essential for avoiding damage to firearms. The torque can be set between 10 to 65 inch-pounds (1,13 Nm to 7,34 Nm) in precise increments of 0,1 inch-pounds (0,01 Nm), and is clearly displayed on the digital LCD screen.

The screwdriver is equipped with a removable 12V lithium-ion battery that charges via USB-C, while LED indicators display battery status. A full charge provides up to two hours of continuous use. The variable speed – up to 200 RPM – is controlled smoothly via an ergonomic trigger. Four integrated LED lights at the head of the tool illuminate the work area, making it ideal for use in low-light conditions as well.

This Wheeler FAT Wrench AutoTorque also includes a 15-piece 1/4" bit set with black phosphate coating, compatible with most common fasteners found on modern firearms. The tool and accessories are supplied in a durable storage case, which is stackable with other Wheeler cases for compact and convenient storage.
