Tripod Vanguard VEO 5 264AV-14 - Aluminium

This Vanguard VEO 5 264AV-14 – Aluminium is a complete and high grade tripod for large-sized spotting scopes and (video) cameras. It features a fluid-damped head that enables extremely smooth movement for creating professional video footage. The two-way head rotates horizontally (pan movement) and tilts vertically. For added convenience and precision, the head is provided with a counterbalancing spring assist. Because of this, the camera or scope will stay put in the desired angle without keeping hold of the pan handle or using the adjustment wheels to lock it in its place. This allows for very easy movement without jarring motions and extra smooth camera footage.

The aluminium legs have a diameter of 26 mm and can be extended by means of twist locks, resulting in a maximal height of 168 cm (66,1”). It can bear camera’s and scopes up to 8 kg (17,6 lbs), while its own weight is only 2,1 kg (4,6 lbs). When the tripod is fully folded, its length is 58 cm (22,6”) with a diameter of 10 cm (3,9”). This makes it very compact and portable, taking its maximal height and bearing capacity into account.

There are three angles to which the legs can be adjusted: 23°, 50° and 80°. The centre column features a built-in short column that is removeable and can be attached separately to the base. Because of this, it is possible to use a camera or scope from a low angle, with a minimal height of 22 cm (8,5”). Furthermore, a removeable hook is located at the bottom of the centre column to which extra weight can be attached for increased stability. The rubber feet ensure a stable grip and can even be adjusted to metal spikes for a secure grip on loose or slippery surfaces, like gravel or ice. These metal spikes are built-in and are extended by twisting the rubber feet.

For easy and safe attachment of a camera or spotting scope, the head is provided with a QS-71P quick-release plate that is compatible with a universal Arca mount. Additionally, it features a built-in bubble level for levelling the head to the horizon. The Vanguard VEO 5 26AV-14 tripod is machined using CNC technology, resulting in high durability and a sturdy construction.
