I liked the rifle so much, I bought one for my oldest son so we can compete.
These model 97 rifles from Weihrauch are true tack drivers. I dropped a crow at 40 yards with a clean head shot.
I agree with all the hype and reviews I have read about them.
I shoot FX 10.3 grain pellets as I got the best groups when sighting it in after trying 7 different brands and weights. All of the pellets are fine, but the FX came out the winner

This is the nicest rifle quality wise that I have bought since I bought my Freedom Arms 357 revolver. I’d say I have not seen better quality. My first shot was point of aim with no sights, and I hit a 50 yard gong with no sights, just pointing at it. This is gonna be a great gun.

I was slightly unsure about ordering the synthetic stocked version, but upon receipt, I’m glad I did.
It is perfect, very comfortable and ergonomic, and really does make what is a pretty heavy air rifle balance well, and belies its real weight.
Only shot 100 or so of 3 different .22 pellets so far, so hardly broken but shot cycle feels good shaping up to be accurate; about 19 mm at 25 m.
Recommend these to anyone.

Was edging towards a budget pre charged gun, but after weighing up costs of tanks/pumps/filling/power curves etc. bought one of if it the b at all round Springer that will last a lifetime and more if looked after, along with the dead easy servicing that any reasonablely competent owner should be able to do.
More than happy with my purchase hitting ¼ inch groups at 25 meters.and that's after a few years out of the sport.
Pros:
cheaper option of the 97kt with no loss in performance,rugged stock can take a but of punishment whilst out hunting in less that good weather.nickle finish looks great with the blued muzzle and black left & right handed good quality synthetic stock
Cons:
little heavy and no baffle fitted as standard plus should do a strip and regrease of internals (not obligatory but quietens and smooths the action)
