FX Hybrid MKII 6.35 mm 26.3 grain slugs are a hybrid or cross-over between a conventional pellet and a slug.
Pellets with a diabolo shape will shape themselves perfect to the rifling of the barrel and have a low bearing surface. Their shape however, gives them a low ballistic coefficient making them susceptible to wind and lets them lose their energy fairly quick. Slugs however, have a much higher ballistic coefficient which lets them maintain their energy better. The high weight and large bearing surface (extra friction) make for a need for substantial power to be able to dire them in a way that does justice to their properties.
The FX Hybrid MKII 6.35 mm 26.3 grain slugs have the external dimensions of a slug with a high ballistic coefficient, but are completely hollow and feature a deep base. This makes them lightweight. Their shape provides a perfect balance between friction and bearing surface. This combination of properties make the FX Hybrid slugs fly in a trajectory that’s more flat than conventional pellets and they’re also less prone to wind deviation. Because of the higher retaining energy they are very suitable for longer distances and the hollow point allows for a great expansion.
The other advantage of these FX Hybrid MKII 6.35 mm 26.3 grain slugs is the fact they are developed with all PCP air rifles in mind, not only the extremely powerful or those featuring a slug liner.
Really nice slug hybrid. I found them to be better stabilising at lower speeds than other slugs. I guess your gun needs to like them. Highly recommend a try!
With stx heavy, even at speeds above 1000fps are very accurate and noticable wind resistant to 100 m.

NOT what I was expecting

I shoot a few with them on a distance 50 to 60 m with my URUGAN VULCAN 0.25 ( 67 J). Not a good grouping at ALL. Compare to the 2,2 g JSB King Heavy ...wothles-configuration, and more expenive. Will try on The FX Wildcat Mark 2 (60 J) as well. Think you need rellay a slug-liner-barrel.

Works well with the Superior STX Liner. More friction than the JSB, it takes 70 joules to reach the recommended speeds.
Pros:
Less drop in trajectory than the JSB King Heavy MK2 for comparable impact with lower weight.
Cons:
The price.

Misleading Hybrid Slug Advertising

Fully tested with all pressures and speeds .... they do not work with liner stx pellets and they would have to remove that advertising., It is a tease. :(
Pros:
At the moment nothing. you will have to buy the new upper liner.

Does not work with STX Pellet liner. Misleading advertising. Very angry with FX
