Walther PDP Compact 4" SF

 The Walther PDP Compact 4” SF (Steel Frame) is a well-designed model that boasts an excellent and consistent performance. As the name implies, this PDP is a highly compact firearm that has a size of 188x36x137 mm. It has a relatively short 4” (102 mm) barrel with polygonal rifling. The result is an accurate Walther Performance Duty Pistol. There’s a three-dots sight system on top of the steel slide that can be used to aim with accuracy. The white dots will remain clearly visible, even in low-light environments. And if you do prefer a red dot, the Walther PDP Compact 4” SF has you covered as well. The slide is Optics-Ready, meaning there’s a removable plate towards the rear end of the slide. Once you’ve taken that plate off, you can easily replace it with a mounting base for your favorite red dot.

The Walther PDP Compact 4” SF shoots semi-automatically and it features a striker-fired system, so pulling the trigger directly manipulates the striker pin. The steel slide is CNC machined and it has diagonal Superterrain grooves along both sides, which allow you to grab it firmly. Those grooves provide more than enough grip even if it’s pouring or when you’re wearing gloves. The grip has synthetic panels on both sides and they have a rough texture that continues along the front and back of the grip. All that texture means you’ll have a firm grip on the Walther PDP Compact 4” SF at all times. The beavertail frames the top of your hand and the extended magwell does the same for the bottom of your hand.

The magazine pin is located on the left side of the steel frame, as is the slide lock. There’s a short Weaver/Picatinny accessory rail on the bottom of the fore-end. You can use it to easily mount a flashlight or a laser. The Walther PDP Compact 4” SF has an excellent balance, courtesy of its steel frame. That frame actively counteracts recoil, so you can consistently shoot with accuracy.
