This SUM mounting rail can be secured to Sauer 100 en 101 rifles to provide them with the SUM (Sauer Universal Mount) mounting system. The 100 and 101 (mostly) do not come with a mounting rail, and by securing this SUM mounting rail to the action (screws are included), mounts for the Sauer Universal Mount system can be used.

The Sauer SUM for 100 & 101 mounting rail is completely made of steel, and features a scratch-resistant and anti-corrosive coating.
