Hatsan Galatian 5 Auto

The Hatsan Galatian 5 Auto is a great no-nonsense semi-automatic PCP air rifle. Being semi-automatic, it just needs to be cocked once, after which reloading is done automatically. This means that after the initial shot, you only need to pull the trigger for the next one. This not only lets you shoot very quickly, it also offers the advantage of being able to keep a perfect shooting stance. That, in turn, is of great importance for a high consistency.

It features a stylish wooden stock, made from beautifully finished high quality Turkish walnut. Detachable open sights with bright TruGlo optic fibres are mounted, but you can always choose to use a rifle scope or red dot instead. To give you a wide choice in that, Hatsan has provided in both an 11 mm dovetail rail and a Weaver/Picatinny rail. Under the forend, a short Weaver/Picatinny rail is situated for mounting a bipod.

The barrel of this Hatsan Galatian 5 Auto is choked at the end and what this reduction in diameter does is squeeze the pellets into the same size before they leave the barrel. Doing that will give them uniformity, which in turn greatly improves accuracy. The barrel is fully shrouded, which makes the rifle a bit quieter. For a quick change, the aluminium air cylinder is detachable and to protect the filling hole from dirt and dust, a rotatable protection cap is used.
