This semi-automatic Sig Sauer P322 has a fixed barrel with a length of 102 mm that’s made of carbon steel, which results in a highly accurate pistol. The single-action firearm has a semi-automatic firing mode, which allows you to quickly empty the magazine. That double-stack magazine has an impressive capacity of 20 .22 LR rounds and you can easily load them by pulling down the follower. It’s important not to pull the follower down too far, so you can place the rounds one by one. By doing so carefully you can ensure the rounds are all oriented correctly, which ensures they can be fed into the pistol’s chamber reliably. The pistol has a flared magwell, making it very easy to load the magazine into the pistol.
The slide is made of impact-resistant aluminium and it’s finished with a black anodised coating, which greatly improves its corrosion-resistance. By going for an aluminium slide, Sig Sauer equipped the P322 with a slide that can easily be pulled back. There are several diagonal grooves along the sides of the slide that improve grip, allowing you to pull it back even easier. The pistol has a front sight and an adjustable rear sight with a total of three optic fibres that are highly noticeable. This three-dot sight system ensures you can aim accurately with the already accurate Sig Sauer P322. You can also choose to remove the front- and rear sight and instead use a red dot. That’s because the slide is optic-ready, which means there’s a removable plate on the back of the slide. By removing that plate, you can mount a ROMEOZero red dot directly onto the slide, but you can also choose to mount an adapter base for a Shield RMS red dot.
The frame of this compact Sig Sauer P322 is made of stainless steel. It has a grip that’s equipped with polymer inlays on all sides that have a rough, stippled texture for added grip. The safety pin can be operated from both sides of the frame and the same goes for the slide lock. This pistol can easily be used by both left- and righthanded shooters. The magazine pin -that’s mounted on the left side of the frame out of the box- is reversible as well. Aside from the magazine pin, the Sig Sauer P322 can be adjusted in other areas as well. It comes supplied with two trigger shoes -one straight and one curved-, which can easily be interchanged according to your preference. There’s a Weaver/Picatinny accessory rail on the bottom of the fore-end for something like a lamp or a laser. You can even put a moderator on the Sig Sauer P322. Pulling back the slide will reveal the threaded front end of the barrel. That thread is covered with a thread protector, which can easily be replaced with the supplied 3/8-24 CW to 1/2-28 CW thread adapter.
Please note: the spring around the fixed barrel is kept in place by either the thread protector or the thread adapter. Please take care to have either one mounted on the barrel thread, before unlocking the slide.
