  • This Delta Optical Javelin 4.5-30x56 rifle scope offers a large zoom range of no less than 4.5 to 30 times, which allows you to get a clear picture of the target.

    The nitrogen-filled housing contains a 34mm tube diameter which allows for a wider range of adjustment of the turrets. For example, in the case of the SMR-1 reticle, the reticle can be adjusted in elevation with a maximum of 30 MRAD and windage up to 32 MRAD. These adjustments are extremely precise in steps of only 0.1 MRAD. The configuration with the SMR-2 reticle uses MIL ratios. For example, the adjustments on these turrets are in steps of 0.1 MIL with a maximum of 30 MIL for both elevation and windage adjustment.

    To provide a clear and bright image, this rifle scope features a 56mm objective lens made of ED glass. This special glass creates a sharp image that prevents chromatic aberration.

    The reticle of the Delta Optical Javelin 4.5-30x56 rifle scope is situated in the first focal plane. This means that the crosshair enlarges (or reduces) as you zoom in and out. The aim point of this reticle offers the possibility to be illuminated and thus become more clearly visible. The choice of two different reticles also gives you the possibility to adjust the rifle scope to your wishes and specifications. This concerns:

    Delta Javelin PERFECTION

    The Javelin is a great scope for the money. The reticle is a nice combination of classic and modern, with a small floating center dot for long-range precision and 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, and 1.0 MRAD marks. It is perfectly illuminated for both daylight and nighttime use.

    The image is sharp, and the turrets have no play. They are tactile and crisp when adjusting, with plenty of travel for long-range shooting. My only complaint about the turrets is that unlocking them is not very crisp, but that’s a minor issue once you learn how it works.

    The parallax adjustment is precise. The depth of field is on the shallower side but still perfectly usable. The flip-up covers are probably the best in the industry. The magnification lever (cat tail) is too long for my taste, so I cut it down by half. Now it’s perfect.

    All in all, a great purchase. This one is a keeper.

    I ordered the scope on Monday and it arrived on Tuesday. The quality is good, the feedback on the turrets is precise and the magnification ring is smooth.

    Setting the zero and moving the zero stop is also very intuitive and easy.

    Only negative is some slight reflections from the illumination inside the reticle while on full power and in darkness.
