Red Dot Holosun HS510C

The Holosun HS510C is a red dot intended to be used on rifles. Thanks to the integrated solar panel it can even function without a battery, provided there is enough ambient light.

This red dot is built for long-term use. An aluminium housing with a protective titanium shroud on the top ensures that it can take a hit. This sturdiness is also displayed in the dust- and water-resistant properties of the HS510C, which is completely dustproof and water-resistant. This makes the red dot suitable for all weather conditions.

Flexibility is offered by the three different styles of dot that can be selected: a 2 MOA dot, a 65 MOA circle or a combination of the two, providing a circle dot. This offers different options, depending on the range to the target and the degree of precision that is required.

Thanks to the solar panel on the Holosun HS510C, the battery of this red dot lasts an extremely long time. Set to the optimal brightness setting, the 2 MOA dot can last up to 50,000 hours. Alternatively, the optic can last up to 20,000 hours on optimal brightness settings with the circle dot selected. This is partially because of the light that is captured by the solar panel. An additional advantage of the solar panel is that the red dot can even function without a battery, or when the battery has died. Thus, the red dot keeps working as long as there is sufficient ambient light, making it extremely reliable.

Another cleverly designed feature of this red dot is the ‘Shake Awake’ system, which allows it to switch on from its sleep mode when it detects minimal motion. This also means that the red dot does not need to be switched off, as it automatically enters sleep mode if it remains still for 10 minutes. As a result, the optic is always ready to be used, without draining the battery. The time required before it enters sleep mode is adjustable.
