The Hex 400 black compound crossbow by Ek Archery features a composite barrel and has a maximum length of 91 cm. This compact design is made possible by a bullpup design, which places the trigger in front of the action mechanism so you keep the entire length of the flight groove. Because of the anti dry-fire system, you are unable to fire the crossbow without placing a bolt in the flight groove.

The high-compression fibreglass limbs have an uncocked width of 47.5 cm and a cocked width of 37.5 cm. This Ek Archery Hex 400 compound crossbow has a draw weight of 210 lbs and the arrows can be fired with a speed of 121 m/s (400 fps). After propelling the bolt forward, the bowstring hits the string stopper and comes to a halt, contributing to the crossbow’s stability.

For even more stability and control, the crossbow features an ergonomically designed grip with finger grooves and an adjustable AR-style butt plate. In addition, the Weaver/Picatinny rail below the fore-end enables you to attach a foregrip or bipod and the Weaver/Picatinny rail above the grip enables you to attach a scope or red dot.
