Excellent air rifle - But you will have to set it up for your needs
First of all, the delivery and the contact with Krale prior to the order was excellent.
Review of the Air Venturi Bullpup 5,5 mm:
The air rifle is relatively big in size for a bullpup. With scope (40 mm objective) it measures 35 cm in height - you will need a transport case where this will fit. Secondly, you will need a 3 mm inbus of your own, because the rifle is delivered with a 2,5mm inbus, which will fit almost all necessary screws, but not the air bleeding screw, which is 3 mm and in delivery status OPEN (My first 10 Strokes with the pump went only throuh and not in. ;-))
The stock is ergonomiocally good to grip and it has a very good balance in the aiming positions. The grip fits good to my hand (Glove size 8). But be aware that you probably will need a 'high' mounting ring set for the scope. For me (184 cm tall) the 'medium' mounting rings were not comfortable to look though the scope, so i put an elevation rail of 1,5 cm between original rail and mounting rings.
In the delivery setup (5,5 mm) it was about 47 Joule which is much too high for diabolos. But we buy this kind of rifle because we can change these settings don't we? You have to bleed all air out of the tank before reducing the regulator pressure! Read the manual!!
After getting many hints on youtube, I reduced the regulator pressure down to 1800 PSI (the scale is better readable in PSI than in bar) and the tension of the hammer spring and have now a setup where it shoots very precise with 18 and 21 grs diabolos (to an Euro coin diameter at 50 m in windy conditions) With slugs I will try later.
The trigger is adjustable, but its delivery condition it is quite good already. And I think with a nylon screw behind the trigger, used as trigger stop it could be upgraded.
Pros (bullpup version):
Due to hight of line of sight there is not so much difference in hold over or hold under on different distances like with a classic rifle.
The stock and weight are good for free shooting positions (standing, kneeing, prone) and it is customisable to your body measures on the stock plate and the cheek.
It is adjustable for your needs and desired projectiles in a big frame.
Cons:
Due to the hight of line of sight it may become difficult to reach up to the scope in sitting on the bench position.
The mount holes for a sling are relatively thin 'plastic' parts. So I replaced the metallic mounts of the gun sling with para cord to reduce the stress on the holes. And if you use the gun sling for shooting (sling your arm in for kneeing and prone position) you should probably not use much force on the sling (i.e. not rest your whole weight in the slinged in arm as usual)
Would I recommend this air rifle?
For shooters who want to train their skills with affordable ammunition instead of expensive fire ammunition and shooters who are practising field target or silhouette shooting and for experiences in "longe range" on limited ranges - Yes
