The Laugo Arms Alien Remus is one of the most revolutionary handguns ever made. Building on the highly advanced Alien series – with which Laugo Arms turned the world of handguns on its head – the Alien Remus is its more compact successor, offering even more innovative features. Like its predecessor, it is engineered for extreme precision, speed, reliability, and durability. Its distinctive appearance, finished in black and gold, reflects its unrivalled performance, firmly placing it among the absolute elite of competition pistols.
This Laugo Arms Alien Remus – Limited First Edition is an exclusive initial release, with only 1000 pistols produced in total. It comes as a Full Kit, comprising a premium case and various accessories and components.
One of the most striking features that sets the Alien Remus apart from models by other manufacturers is the extremely low barrel position. The bore axis sits 1.7 mm below the grip axis, making it the first handgun ever to have such a low bore axis (after its predecessor). Thanks to this unique feature, the pistol drastically minimises muzzle flip after a shot. This ensures maximum control, speed, and accuracy for follow-up shots, even when using powerful ammunition.
Like its predecessor, the Alien Remus has a slide where only the sides move during firing, while the top rail remains stationary. This results in a fixed top plate on which the sights always remain firmly in place, meaning they endure less stress. Additionally, the top plate can be easily swapped out. The slide operates via a gas-delayed blowback system, ensuring the slide only begins to move once the bullet has exited the barrel. This positively impacts accuracy, as any instability caused by this movement occurs only after the shot has been fired, having no influence on the bullet’s trajectory.
What distinguishes the Alien Remus from the Alien in terms of slide function is the Push-to-Rack function. With the intuitive ‘PTR’ button, the slide can still be racked via the optic to cock the weapon. Furthermore, the Alien Remus features, next to a trigger safety, also a manual safety that is easily operated with the thumb.
The Laugo Arms Alien Remus also offers a high degree of customisability in terms of ergonomics and optics. Different backstraps and grip panels can be used to suit the shooter’s preference. The top rail can be easily switched for use with iron sights or optics like red dot sights. The underside of the barrel features a Weaver/Picatinny mounting point for attaching, for instance, a light or laser.
