Chronometer FX Pocket Chrono V2

 This FX Pocket Chrono V2 chronometer is a compact and very easy to use chronometer that uses doppler radar, just like a radar gun. The doppler-effect is simply sending out microwaves that bounce off a desired object. In this situation, that object is the pellet. The change in frequency of the returning signal gives an accurate reading of the speed at which the pellet is travelling. Because the chronometer uses radar, the circumstances you’re shooting in don’t matter as much. It will measure an object’s speed just as easily in the dark as it will during the day. It measures speeds up to a maximum of 1250 FPS with extreme accuracy. There’s a blue light on the side of the chronometer that lights up every time it registers a shot.

It's possible to read the measured information on an FX chronograph display, which is available separately. But you can also use your smartphone to read the results, which might be just as easy. You can download the free app for your smartphone, which you can use to store rifle profiles and check out even more information pertaining to your shot. The FX Pocket Chrono V2 chronometer connects to your phone through Bluetooth.

The chronometer has a size of 50x39x60 mm and it weighs only 78 grams. It features a Weaver/Picatinny connection out of the box, which allows you to easily mount it onto an accessory rail. It also comes with another type of mount, that you can use in combination with rubber bands to attach it to your rifle scope’s objective, for instance. Both mounts allow you to securely fasten it onto your rifle, so you are guaranteed to get reliable readings. The FX Pocket Chrono V2 chronometer has a Lithium-ion battery which can easily be charged by using a USB-C cable. That USB-C connection is hidden underneath a rubber cover.
