Admirable Craftsmanship

I have owned a few lesser quality springer rifles in my youth and have always been drawn to the self-sufficiency and simplicity of them, but in my older years became dissatisfied with their accuracy. I decided to do some research to try to find a springer rifle that would meet my accuracy expectations.
I read a lot and evaluated many brands and models, finally decided on the HW97KT. I then needed to research scopes and mounts. Another customer review on this site described buying a 4-12 x 50 Hawke Airmax scope and a BKL high mount (model BKL-260H) and doing more research found these items also to be of high quality and a good match for this rifle.
I received the rifle in only a few days (Maryland, USA) and after torquing the mount and levelling the scope, I took the first 5 shots at 10 yards and each pellet nearly went through the same hole - what a first group!
I adjusted the scope and moved to 15 yards and then 20 and got the same result and am looking forward to longer ranges this weekend.
I read in the instruction manual that this rifle takes roughly 100 shots to break in, but seems to be extremely accurate right out of the box. I have only had the rifle for a day but was so excited with the results I had to write this review (I don’t write many). Additionally, when this rifle is in your hands you can feel and sense the quality - it is beautiful.
I also asked a few questions to Frank at customer service just after purchasing, and he was very helpful. I really couldn’t be more pleased. This is a fantastic product, from an organization that provides great service and I will look forward to shooting it for a long time!

Я много раз звонил парням в интернет магазин и меня наверное уже узнавали по голосу. Всегда выслушивали и давали советы.Сначала думал брать 77К, потом 97К и в конце концов решился на TOP 97KT в 5.5(0.22).
Винтовка очень хороша!Держишь и понимаешь,что это это настоящее произведение искусства!Достал из коробки,прикрутил моноблок , по отвесу установил прицел и с 20 метров попал туда ,куда и целился!СУПЕР!
Возможно вес немного великоват,или лучше сказать-вес чувствуется,но парни.....это винтовка и бегать с ней крос никто думаю не будет. А кому уж сильно тяжело,то походите в зал (качалку),а потом засматривайся на Варю 97КТ.
Звук от пружины это нечто....бдзыньььььь!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent Rifle - HW97 KT

This is an excellent rifle and arrived to the East Coast of the USA in just 2 business days via UPS. Krale put a second box around the factory Weihrauch box for shipping. (I would suggest not choosing delivery to a UPS store, and instead have it shipped directly to your house.)
The fit and finish of the rifle is magnificent. The beech wood stock is flawless, and I'm glad I opted for the wood stock instead of synthetic, but maybe I'll get another in the black synthetic stock. I chose .177 caliber because this is a ""medium power"" rifle and wanted the higher FPS for the pellet. If the rifle produced higher FPS, I would have chosen .22 caliber.
I've tried several pellets so far: Crosman Premier Heavy, RWS Supermag, H&N Crow Magnum, and Crosman Premier Hollow Point. All pellets performed well, but for accuracy the gun likes Crosman Premier Hollow Point (Benjamin Hollow Point). The Crow Magnum are a great hunting pellet, and are also larger and longer, so easier to handle and load.
I mounted a 4-12 x 50 Hawke Airmax scope using a BKL high mount (model BKL-260H) and they work great with the rifle, providing excellent low light performance, a sharp and refined laser etched mil-dot reticle, and springer rated durability. The 50mm scope bell sits about 1/8 inch (3 mm) above the barrel, so medium mounts would have been too low.
The thumbhole stock is both gorgeous and functional, with a great fit in the hands. The mechanics of the rifle, such as cocking, safety engagement, and trigger pull, are wonderful. Everything on the rifle is metal or wood, there is no plastic. The only nitpick I can think of is the rubber shoulder pad, which is attached with one screw in the center, and looks like it needed two screws, as I can see light through where the parts should be joined tightly.
For the rifle case I chose a Vault V730 by Pelican, with interior dimensions of 44 x 16 inches. The case has 6 latches, a rubber gasket, and accepts 4 padlocks.
I've only had the HW97 KT for a couple of weeks, so these are my initial impressions. I have wanted this rifle for a long time, and am glad I made the purchase, it's a joy to own and shoot.
