The Vortex Triumph HD 3-9x40 Dead-Hold BDC MOA is a flexible rifle scope that offers great value at an entry-level price. The reticle is located on the second focal plane, meaning that the reticle remains the same size when adjusting the magnification. Parallax has been fixed to one-hundred meters. The reticle can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically, with the respective turrets. Focus can be adjusted with the focus ring, right at the front of the eye piece. Located behind the eyepiece is the magnification ring.

Fully multi-coated lenses ensure the best user experience, by providing great light transmission. This is further aided by the objective width of forty millimetres. The BDC (Bullet Drop Compensation) reticle features several hashmarks on both the horizontal and vertical axes, in MOA (Minute of Angle) increments. These hashmarks help estimating the point of aim at ranges where the rifle and scope are not zeroed. Combined with the GeoBallistics app by Vortex, shooting at long ranges is made much easier.
