Feinwerkbau 800 Basic Benchrest

The stock of the Feinwerkbau 800 Basic Benchrest is universally designed for both lefthand and righthand use. The butt stock is adjustable in length and height, while the cheek rest can be adjusted in height and reversed for left hand use.

Trigger

The trigger of the Feinwerkbau 800 Basic Benchrest is adjustable in many ways. The blade can be adjusted for any finger length (27 mm) with a rail system, featuring two rails to cater for left- and right hand use. The trigger blade pin can be reversed and the blade itself can be rotated upside down with the long side down.

Both stages can separately be adjusted for trigger weight, while it’s also possible to shorten the first stage in such a way, that it’s effectively gone, leaving just the second stage for a direct trigger.

Feinwerkbau Absorber

The patented Feinwerkbau Absorber is designed to dampen the recoil to the absolute minimum. To create a perfect balance with the ammunition used, the absorber can be adjusted with a screw that should be rotated in turns of 30 degrees, which is comparable with 5 minutes on a clock face.

By pulling back the cocking lever until resistance is felt, the right adjustment range can be found. The distance between barrel mouth and bolt should be between 12 and 17 mm. Is the measured distance shorter than 12 mm, the screw should be turned clockwise (right). Is the distance greater than 17 mm, the adjustment screw should be turned anti-clockwise. All, as mentioned, in tiny steps of 30 degrees. Depending on the used pellet, the perfect balance can be found in this adjustment zone.

Diopter

The Feinwerkbau Match-diopter can be adjusted in all relevant areas. Both elevation and windage have a 20 click adjustment range, where one click corresponds with a change in point of impact of 0,2 mm at 10 metres (and a 950 mm sight length). The diopter can also be tilted left or right in a 10 degrees range.

Air reservoir

The air reservoir can be filled to a maximum of 200 bar, using demoisturised compressed air. As the Feinwerkbau 800 Basic Benchrest air reservoir features a valve, it can be taken of when (partially) filled and you can bring (optional) filled cylinders for a quick change.

No tools are needed to change the air reservoir. The system is designed to be mounted by hand. As the O-ring seals radially (on the outer circumference) and doesn’t rely on clamping, here’s no need to tighten the cylinder with force. Tightening with force doesn’t have any effect on the air seal, but could make unscrewing the reservoir harder or wear the fine thread.
