EG Hard Gearbox Shell Prometheus V2 8 mm

The gearbox is one of the most important parts of an AEG airsoft replica, which is also subject to a lot of pressure and stress. This can cause cracks in the gearbox shell over time, causing it to eventually break.

During the development of the Prometheus EG Hard Gearbox Shell V2 8 mm, the stress points and the strengthening of the whole were taken into account. For example, the window in which the cylinder is housed has radiused corners to reduce pressure.

The Prometheus EG Hard Gearbox Shell V2 8 mm features an aluminium, CNC machined panel where the gears are located. This panel can be detached from the rest of the gearbox, making shimming and gear replacement easy, without the need to touch the rest of the gearbox.

When the spring in this gearbox needs to be replaced, this can easily be done thanks to the Quick Spring Change at the rear of the gearbox shell. The outside of the gearbox shell is provided with text and markings to make parts easy to find and position.
