Pocket Knife Kershaw Ferrite
Kershaw’s Ferrite pocket knife is a ‘barracuda sleek’ design by Rick Hinderer, the back of the blade contains a recess on which your finger can be placed to be able to make accurate cuts. The knife can be opened with one hand by utilising the thumb-stud, flipper and the SpeedSafe assisted opening system by Kershaw, the blade is firmly held in place by a frame lock when it’s opened.
Its handle is made of stainless steel and has a smooth finish which enables the user to slide the pocket knife into his pocket effortlessly. Some other convenient features are the filler tab on the underside of the handle, besides adding to the look, it also prevents the knife from slipping through your fist when pressing hard. Second, its pocket clip can be mounted on both sides of the handle (tip-up), for left and right-handed users.
The Ferrite by Kershaw comes with a blade made out of 8Cr13MoV steel, this steel is sharpened easily and stays sharp for a long time. Kershaw added a layer of titanium carbon nitride coating to the blade for enhanced appearance and even more protection against corrosion. This blade has a length of 8.4 cm and thickness of 2.77 mm, plenty of cutting surface and many years of use guaranteed.
