Blaser R8 Ultimate X

The Blaser R8 Ultimate X is a big bore rifle with a modular design, which is available in different calibres. This Ultimate X version of the Blaser R8 does something that no other version has done before. It uses magazines with a capacity of no less than ten rounds. This makes the Blaser R8 Ultimate X well-suited for use in shooting sport. With some modifications -such as a lighter barrel-, it can also be used as a hunting rifle. This rifle has the right-handed version of the R8 receiver and R8 bolt.

It features the Blaser R8 Match-grade barrel, adding to the accuracy of this rifle. While shooting, the barrel can overheat. Especially so for this Blaser R8 Ultimate X, which features a 10-round magazine. That’s why the barrel is fluted. This means there are multiple grooves on all sides, which run its entire length. Those grooves allow the material to cool down faster and they reduce the overall weight of the barrel, resulting in a better balanced rifle. There’s M18x1 thread on the front end of the barrel, which can be used to mount something like a moderator onto the rifle.

Shooting with the Blaser R8 Ultimate X is an incredibly comfortable experience. It has a height-adjustable cheek rest, which allows you to perfectly line up your eye with a possible rifle scope. The butt stock is length-adjustable to determine the perfect LOP, so you can easily reach the grip set in the thumbhole stock. The grip features a rough texture on both sides, which is also found on both sides of the fore-end. As a result, the Blaser R8 can be held as firmly as possible to withstand the rifle’s recoil.
