Blaser F3 Extended Choke Tube - Lead: IC 1/4, Steel: M 1/2

This Blaser F3 Extended Choke is an IC ¼ choke for lead and an M ½ choke for steel shot. The choke extends the effective firing range. Installing the choke in the barrel of a Blaser F3 shotgun with the appropriate tools is straightforward.

Because steel pellets do not deform (as opposed to lead pellets), the shot pattern is tighter. The effect of a particular choke is, therefore, greater on steel pellets than on lead pellets. This is why the choke size for steel pellets is always considered to be at least one size larger. In this case, for instance, an Improved Choke or ¼ choke for lead is equivalent to a Modified or ½ choke with steel pellets.
