The Browning B525 Composite is Browning’s trusty all-rounder and evergreen, except this time they’ve put a composite stock on it. It's a rather lightweight rifle (weighing 3500 grams) and it’s designed and balanced very well. Even if you pick it up for the first time, it feels like you’ve been acquainted with it for years.
This over-and-under shotgun has a durable steel action with a composite stock. This makes the Browning B525 Composite considerably easier to maintain and it also won’t get scratched up as easily. The stock can be adjusted and it has a slot for a counter-weight, to balance it out even better. The grip and the fore-end feature a rougher texture for slightly more grip. There’s a soft, ergonomically shaped Inflex II butt plate on the far end of the stock, which takes care of some of the recoil. That recoil is already strongly reduced, thanks to the Back Bore technology that this B525 Composite by Browning is equipped with. Rifles that use this technology feature transition cones in the steel-proof barrels that are lengthened, strongly reducing recoil. The Back Bore technology also ensures a higher shot velocity and a more uniform and dense shot pattern. This rifle comes with various Invector Plus chokes, that allow for some experimentation with the shot pattern:
• Cylindrical • 1/4 • 1/2 • 3/4 • Full
There’s a manually operable safety on top of the stock, which can also be used to switch between the upper and lower barrel. The Browning B525 Composite features one trigger, which can be used to empty both barrels in turn. That trigger’s position can also be altered, to allow some extra space for the use of gloves. This shotgun features an ejector system, which means the calibre 12 casings can be taken out easily.
