Hawke Airmax 30 SF Compact 3-12x40 AMX IR Rifle Scope

The Hawke Airmax 30 SF Compact 3-12x40 AMX IR is a rifle scope that’s very suitable for use on air rifles. It has an AMX IR reticle with dedicated Mil Dot markings that are perfect for the curved trajectory of pellets and slugs.

The AMX IR reticle is etched on glass, making it very shock resistant. It’s situated in the second focal plane and designed to be true at 10x magnification with exact MIL spacings (see images or look at the reticle manual under ‘Downloads’). The reticle offers multiple extra aiming points for shooting longer distances, meaning there’s no need for constant adjustment of the rifle scope. For this reason, the resettable and lockable turrets feature protective caps to keep them clean. Both elevation and windage turrets can be adjusted in clicks of 0.1 MRAD and have an adjustment range of 30 MRAD. The reticle itself is (red) illuminated and brightness can be adjusted in six settings.

To adjust the ocular to match the Hawke Airmax 30 SF Compact 3-12x40 AMX IR your eye vision, there’s a fast focus adjustment. The lenses are fully multi-coated in 16 layers, providing a bright, clear and detailed image. Thanks to the large ocular, this rifle scope offers an extremely wide field of view of 14.6-3.6 m at 100 metres.

Parallax can be adjusted with side focus. For those who prefer an even finer adjustment, a side wheel is included as well as a pointer. As zooming in can sometimes be dazzling when executed fast or uncontrolled, the zoom ring has a built-in resistance. At 10x magnification the MIL-markings at the reticle are true and can be used, for instance, to calculate distance.
