Pocket Knife Benchmade Bugout Blue
This Benchmade Bugout Blue pocket knife combines high quality with a non-intrusive design, making it suitable for use under almost all circumstances.
Benchmade chose to make the blade from CPM S30V steel. It’s a powdered steel, this special production technique allows for improved homogeneity and makes it easier to add exactly those alloys needed for a good knife blade. In this case, the steel has a great corrosion resistance and ditto edge holding qualities.
The blade can be opened with one hand, using the thumb stud, and it’s locked with Benchmade’s own Axis lock that’s neatly integrated in the handle, of which the scales are made from Grivory. Grivory is a nylon copolymer with a minimum of 50% glass fibres. It’s very strong, durable and doesn’t suffer from expansion or crimp caused by temperature changes.
While the blade doesn’t need any extra protection against corrosion, it still received a chromium nitride coating. It gives the Benchmade Bugout Blue a nice smoked grey blade with the added advantage of reduced friction.
