Chassis MDT Oryx - Tikka T1x - FDE

This MDT Oryx – Tikka T1x – FDE chassis is fully constructed from anodized 6061 aluminium, except for the interchangeable polymer side panels. As a result, the chassis not only offers high rigidity, but is also relatively lightweight and highly resistant to corrosion. It is designed for all-round precision shooting, including competitions and hunting. Thanks to its adjustability, this chassis provides improved ergonomics and increased shooting accuracy. The Oryx chassis is a highly durable upgrade for a long-range rifle and offers excellent value for money.

This chassis features an adjustable buttstock, allowing the length of pull (LOP) to be adjusted for perfect positioning behind the rifle with maximum stability. By means of placing convenient spacers between the end of the stock and the buttplate, the LOP can be adjusted. One spacer is included with the Oryx chassis. The cheek rest can be height-adjusted for perfect eye alignment with the scope. An Allen key is required for this adjustment

The MDT Oryx comes with a standard AR-style grip, which has a very comfortable feel in the hand. If desired, the included grip can be replaced with an alternative one, such as a vertical grip. In addition, the chassis features a built-in barricade stop for added stability when shooting from a barricade.

The chassis is provided with M-LOK slots on the underside of the forend. Accessories like a bipod can be mounted here, and it’s also possible to install an Arca rail. The underside of the buttstock also has an M-LOK slot, allowing a rear accessory, such as a bag rider, to be attached.

The action is firmly secured in the chassis and hold into place thanks to the precision-machined V-block bedding. This bedding minimises tolerance and movement during firing, resulting in more consistent shots. The chassis also provides a free-floating barrel, which maximises shot precision. Additionally, installation of the chassis is very straightforward and does not require a gunsmith.

Since this model is designed for the Tikka T1x, which uses rimfire cartridges, it cannot be made compatible with AICS magazines. However, it is fully compatible with the proprietary Tikka T1x mag system, specifically for the .22 LR.
