Beretta 94X Performance Launch Edition

The Beretta 94X Performance Launch Edition is a successor of the Beretta 92X Performance, intended for competition shooting. This pistol distinguishes itself through a number of ergonomic improvements and a lower slide cut for a red dot.

This Launch Edition of the Beretta 94X Performance distinguishes itself from the production version in a couple of ways. It is finished with an extremely wear-resistant black DLC coating, whereas the production version has a graphite grey finish. Acid-green accents on the sides provide eye-catching detail. Additionally, it has aluminium grip panels, which contain polymer grip inserts featuring a special Beretta logo to commemorate its 500^th anniversary.

Increasing the length of the pistol grip is one of the substantial changes made by Beretta. The beavertail at the rear is also changed in both shape and angle, making it upswept. This allows for a more comfortable and higher grip on the pistol, allowing for more control.

Another notable difference is the trigger guard, which is squared on the Beretta 94X Performance Launch Edition. It does feature a higher undercut, which is a recess in the trigger guard where it meets the grip. This allows the shooter to grip the pistol as high as possible.

The slide features new, more aggressive angled serrations on both sides, providing the shooter better grip when racking the slide. Furthermore, a lower cutout for mounting a red dot allows for mounting said red dot closer to the bore axis. This new design also allows for maintenance to be conducted on the extractor, without requiring the red dot to be dismounted like on the Beretta 92X. As a result, the red dot does not need to be re-zeroed after this type of maintenance. Its standard iron sights consist of a fully adjustable rear sight and a front sight equipped with optical fibre, providing optimal contrast.

Operating the 94X Performance Launch Edition is a user-friendly experience, thanks to the ambidextrous safety lever and a magazine release which can be mounted on either side. The safety lever does not protrude far on both sides, ensuring that the pistol is equally comfortable to hold for both left- and righthanded shooters. A renewed Xtreme-S trigger ensures a very short reset.
