This Western Airguns Rattler is a very powerful PCP rifle which is suited for shooting at long range. It features a 711 mm long barrel, which you can use to shoot a variety of different calibre slugs. The impact-resistant aluminium barrel shroud has a built-in suppressor, which allows you to shoot somewhat quieter. The PCP rifle shoots repeatedly smoothly thanks to the semi-automatic firing mode.
This is a hammerless PCP rifle that has an adjustable regulator pressure. That pressure can easily be gauged thanks to the regulator’s pressure gauge. Aside from adjusting that regulator pressure, you can also adjust the speed by using the adjustment wheel located beneath the magazine. The Western Airguns Rattler boasts an air cylinder with a capacity of 580 cc (700 cc for .45), which is located below the barrel, and it has a pressure gauge so you can easily read the remaining fill pressure. The two pressure gauges combined allow you to easily read how many shots are left in the tank.
With this Western Airgun Rattler, you can shoot sub-MOA groups at a distance of 91.4 metres. In order to realize that, however, you’ll have to mount a decent rifle scope and you can do so thanks to the Weaver/Picatinny scope rail. Because this PCP rifle is primarily meant for long range shooting, the scope rail is set at an angle of 20 MOA. Keeping the rifle stable during shooting won’t be an issue thanks to its own weight of 4150 grams and it also has a Weaver/Picatinny accessory rail, so you can easily mount a bipod onto it.
There are two Weaver/Picatinny accessory rails on both sides of the frame for additional accessories. The ambidextrous stock is made of impact-resistant aluminium and it has a butt pad that you can place against your shoulder comfortably. It has a synthetic cheek rest and a pistol-style grip with pre-moulded finger grooves that also contribute to a proper, ergonomic shooting posture.
The magazine is set in the rear of the Western Airguns Rattler and it can be unlocked by using a slide and a lever. That magazine is made of titanium and it has a depth of 21 mm, meaning it’s compatible with long slugs.
