This Ruger Mark IV Hunter is part of the Ruger Mark IV line-up. The Hunter features a 175 mm cold hammer-forged barrel that guarantees excellent accuracy. Additionally, the Hunter has a one piece receiver made of stainless steel with pearled finish. The grip is also CNC machined from stainless steel and it features wood grip panels on both sides. Those grip panels feature a rough texture on the bottom half for added grip.
The Mark IV Competition, like all Mark IV’s, features an ambidextrous safety and has fully adjustable sights. The front sight has a red optical fibre, which makes it stand out instantly. Another feature is the non-reciprocating slide, which is inherently more accurate than its counterpart.
Naturally, the Ruger Mark IV Hunter features the Mark IV Takedown system, starting with the positive magazine ejector to remove the magazine. Drop the bolt and press the Takedown button that allows you to rotate the upper receiver off of the grip frame. You can then remove the bolt for maintenance. Disassembly is very easy and it takes very little time, mirrored by how little time it takes to assemble the gun.
