Pocket Knife SOG Flare Satin

This SOG Flare Satin pocket knife uses the SOG Assisted Technology (SAT), which pushes the blade open even after only a small push. Once it’s open, it’s kept in place by the SOG arc lock. A simple, yet highly effective mechanism that keeps the blade in place firmly and which allows you to put quite a lot of force on the pocket knife. This allows you to use it to cut through a variety of objects.

The blade is made of 8Cr13MoV steel, which is well-known for its excellent corrosion- and wear-resistance. The blade length is 88.9 mm and the steel has a hardness of 54-58 HRC. That’s a decent hardness with which the blade will keep its cutting-edge for a long time, but which also allows it to be sharpened easily. There’s a small, ambidextrous thumb stud on the rear of the steel blade which you can use to give it a push, allowing the SAT to completely unfold it.

The scales are made of GRN (glass-reinforced nylon), which is a lightweight material with a good hardness. They can take a hit and they’re perfectly suited for rough work. GRN has an inherent resistance to moisture, so you can use the pocket knife outside as well. There’s an extra locking mechanism towards the bottom of the grip, which you can use to lock the folded SOG Flare Satin pocket knife. There’s a carry clip on the far end of the grip that you can use to easily attach the clip to your pants’ pocket.
