Machete Böker Magnum Kukri
This Böker Magnum Kukri machete has a length of no less than 53 cm and a weight of 529 grams. That weight and length make this machete particularly well-suited for cutting through the foliage. The materials were carefully chosen as well, to ensure this machete does exactly what it should and does it right. For the blade, they went with 420 steel which is well-known for its excellent corrosion-resistance. This means the steel can be used perfectly in humid environments and that it can be used to cut or chop wet branches and leaves. The 420 steel is also very flexible, which means that it can take quite a few hits. That flexibility and impact-resistance comes at the cost of the blade’s hardness, but luckily enough the Böker Magnum Kukri machete is incredibly easy to sharpen. The blade features a black, wear-resistant coating that goes well with the handle.
That handle is made of wood and it is shaped ergonomically, so you can comfortably use the machete for a long time and put quite a lot of force on it. That wooden grip has three brass studs on both sides as a decorative element. There’s an opening on the bottom of the grip that can be used to attach a lanyard.
You will receive a sheath made of nylon with this Böker Magnum Kukri machete, that you can use to store the machete. A kukri has a forward-bent shape and the blade is wider towards the top. As a result, sheathing it properly can be quite a challenge. The sheath that comes with this Kukri machete by Böker Magnum features multiple press studs along its length, which allow you to easily close it tightly around the machete. It also has a strap with a press stud that goes around the grip.
