Compressor AEA 480 bar
This AEA 480 bar compressor allows you to fill any PCP-tank(s) in an instant. As the name implies, this compressor can handle fill pressures of up to 480 bar. Most air-rifles can handle about 200 bar, so filling those will take very little time. The AEA 480 bar compressor is incredibly user-friendly. It comes supplied with an A/C-cable and jumper cables. The A/C-cable will allow you to connect the compressor to a wall outlet or to a separate battery and the jumper cables enable you to hook it up to a car battery. This means you’ll be able to power the compressor and use it to fill your PCP-tanks, even if you’re away from home.
There’s a large toggle switch located on the front face of the AEA 480 bar compressor and you’ll find a sticker slightly above it. That sticker clearly indicates which position should be used for what type of power supply.
• Position 1 should be used for regular power supply from an A/C-cable and wall outlet and it should also be used for jumper cables and a car battery
• Position 2 should be used for a separate battery that’s connected to the compressor
Flip the toggle switch to the right position and set the correct fill-pressure on the display. You’ll find four buttons located right below the display. There’s a SET-button, an ON/OFF-button and a plus-button and a minus-button. And these buttons are all you’ll need to work the AEA 480 bar compressor. The ON/OFF-button needs no explanation. The SET-button can be used to adjust the values show:
• Pressing the SET-button for 3 seconds and then pressing the plus-button once will allow you to switch between bar and PSI
• Pressing the SET-button for 3 seconds and pressing the SET-button once more allows you to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius by using the plus-button
Now that all values are shown as you prefer, you can almost start filling a PCP-tank. All you have to do is set the right fill-pressure. Press the plus- and minus-button for 3 seconds to allow for adjustment of the fill pressure. After doing so, you can use the plus-button to increase the fill pressure and press the minus-button to decrease the fill pressure. Connect the fill tube, clamped on top of the compressor, to the PCP-tank and press the ON/OFF-button to turn the AEA 480 bar compressor on.
It’s really fast and the built-in auto-stop function allows you to work as safely as possible. The display also indicates the temperature and the time spent on the current fill-session. As soon as the compressor reaches a temperature of 35°C/95°F, the cooling fan will activate and keep spinning until the temperature has decreased to below 30.2°C/90°F. If the compressor reaches a temperature of 71°C/160°F, it will turn off automatically to cool down.
There’s a pressure release valve on the side of the AEA 480 bar compressor, which allows you to dispose of all the moisture that was filtered out of the used air. This model is entirely oil free, which means it’s very easy to maintain.
Please note: Most airguns can handle fill pressures of up to a certain amount of bar. Since the maximum fill pressure of this compressor is considerably higher, you should take extra care to check the maximum fill pressure of your PCP-tank and airgun. Be sure to set the AEA 480 bar compressor to the correct fill pressure, before using it.
Please note: This compressor is not suitable for filling compressed air bottles—only for airgun PCP reservoirs. We also recommend using this compressor in combination with the 'Dry Pac Hill Compressor Pro Air Dryer Filter' to ensure the air is filtered before it enters the PCP reservoir.
