This Blaser F16 Game Grade 2 is an over-and-under shotgun in calibre 12. It has a weight of 3100 grams and it’s perfectly balanced, as we’ve come to expect from Blaser. The barrels have a gun metal nitride coating, that increases wear and corrosion resistance. The shotgun has an interchangeable choke (1/2, 3/4 and Full), which means it can be used for various purposes. It’s even possible to put a different type of choke in each barrel, so both barrels on this Blaser F16 Game Grade 2 are effective at a different range. There’s a switch right in front of the trigger -located within the trigger guard-, which can be used to choose which barrel is shot first. This Blaser F16 has a single trigger with a trigger weight of 1650 grams and the neatly rounded trigger has a rather smooth pull. After shooting, the ejectors ensure the empty casings are ejected from the shotgun.
When it comes to ergonomics, the Blaser F16 Game Grade 2 is no slouch either. It has a beautiful wood stock in wood grade 2 with an LOP of 375 mm and there’s a rubber butt plate on the back end. As a result, the shooter feels slightly less of the shotgun’s recoil. The grip has a good curvature and shape and it feels incredibly comfortable to hold. Holding the grip, the shooter can easily reach the safety on top of the stock, as well as the trigger on the bottom. There’s a rough chequering on both sides of the grip, which is also found on both sides of the fore-end, providing some more grip.
