What is Browning?

The history of Browning
John Moses Browning was born in Ogden, Utah, in the old American Wild West. From a very young age he already was constantly around guns in his father’s gun shop. Here, he made his first gun, at the very early age of 13 years old. Because of his technical talent and creativity he was destined to become a legendary inventor. He surely lived up to this promise.
One of Browning’s highlights in gun innovation was creating the very first semi-automatic shotgun in the world, the Browning Auto-5. Even until 1998, almost 100 years after its invention, this rifle was still in production. Probably the most famous invention of this legendary weapons designer is the 9 mm Hi-Power, a semi-automatic pistol of which there are sold more than 10 million by now. This gun, because of its performance and reliability, quickly became the standard for many police units and militaries worldwide.
In 1925, close to his death, John Browning finalised the prototype of the first ever over-and-under shotgun. He named it the B25, simply after Browning 1925. This innovation turned out to be a milestone in the history of shotguns. Even to this day, Browning remains an authority in the area of over-under shotguns due to their outstanding reliability and performance.
