Boots Härkila Reidmar Mid 2.0 GTX

These Reidmar Mid 2.0 GTX boots by Härkila are manufactured using nubuck leather and a Gore-Tex membrane. The boots can be tightened quickly and conveniently with the Uturn lacing system.

Thanks to the choice of materials, these boots are robust and waterproof, while also maintaining breathability through the Gore-Tex membrane. Reinforcements around the toes and heels ensure that the foot remains protected and supported, while a rubber layer prevents excessive wear in these areas. The soles are semi-stiff, with a profile that offers good grip. Shocks are dampened by the midsole, which improves comfort especially during long walks. Moulded insoles ensure that the boots are even more comfortable, while removing them helps with faster drying of the inside of the boots.

A standout feature of the Härkilla Reidmar Mid 2.0 GTX boots is that they do not have laces that need to be tied. The Uturn system, developed by the company of the same name, utilises a very strong, 1 mm-thin plastic-coated steel wire that runs through specially designed eyelets. At the top, the ends of the wire are connected to a turning knob with which the wire can be loosened or tightened. This way, the wire can be fixed along the entire length of the shoe with a single knob. Not only does it make the process of putting the shoes on and taking them off much faster, it also means that there are no laces that can snag on vegetation, for instance.
