The Anschütz 1761 APR Long Range features a high-quality MDT XRS chassis. This chassis consists of an aluminium base with polymer panels attached, providing the shooter with a rifle with optimal ergonomics.
While Anschütz is to many synonymous with quality, the combination with an MDT chassis makes for an even better package. The chassis provides an ergonomic shooting experience, while also offering a rigid, reliable base for the action. This rigidity is provided by the full-length aluminium core of the chassis, which has polymer panels attached to it to improve grip and increase comfort in extreme temperatures.
This rigidity is accompanied by adjustability and customisability. The buttstock can be lengthened with spacers, increasing the length of pull of the rifle. It also features an adjustable cheek rest, along with QD (Quick Detach) sling mounts on both sides. The pistol grip can also be exchanged, with a vertical and an angled pistol grip being included with the rifle stock. M-LOK slots in the free-floating forend provide further customisability, with attachment points at the sides and bottom for accessories.
At its core, this rifle features an Anschütz 1761 action, which contains its match-grade 2-stage trigger. This trigger is adjustable in position and trigger pull (350-1500 grams), allowing for adjustment to the shooter’s preferences. An ambidextrous magazine release is located inside the trigger guard, right at the front, allowing for fast and easy reloads. The magazine itself has a capacity of 10 rounds, which is sufficient for competition while minimising additional weight.
On top of the action a 30 MOA Weaver/Picatinny scope mounting rail allows for the mounting of optics. Thanks to its forward cant, the elevation of the scope can be exploited to its fullest extent. The barrel is a precision barrel, which is free-floating in the chassis of the rifle. This ensures maximum accuracy, as pressure put on the forend is not transferred to the barrel of the rifle.
