This AEA Zeus single-shot PCP rifle is known for being the world’s most powerful airgun. That’s one impressive title to hold and the slugs you can shoot with it are also nothing less than impressive. It’s available for the following calibres:
• 14.7 mm / .58
• 18.3 mm / .72
The 14.7 mm calibre version has a barrel length of 813 mm (32’’) and it has a cylinder capacity of 660 cc. The 18.3 mm calibre version is available with three different barrel lengths and each length comes with its own cylinder and cylinder capacity.
• 406 mm (16’’) – capacity of 300 cc
• 610 mm (24’’) – capacity of 400 cc
• 813 mm (32’’) – capacity of 660 cc
The single-shot AEA Zeus is not intended for shooting at short-range targets, which is why it doesn’t have any open sights. Shooting at long-range targets requires nothing less than a rifle scope and that’s why this AEA Zeus airgun features a two-part Weaver/Picatinny scope rail on top of the action. That scope rail allows you to easily mount a rifle scope onto it that suits its accurate range. While choosing a rifle scope, you should keep in mind that the rifle has a wood stock. That wood stock features a nicely curved cheek rest, which cannot be elevation-adjusted. There’s a rubber butt plate on the back of the stock, which aids in dealing with the AEA Zeus’s recoil. The short Weaver/Picatinny accessory rail located on the bottom of the fore-end allows you to mount something like a bipod onto the PCP rifle, which can provide some added stability while aiming and shooting.
We already mentioned the PCP cylinder and how its size and maximum capacity differs per barrel length. There are some similarities between the cylinders, however, such as that they’re all mounted right below the barrel and they also have the same maximum fill pressure of 300 bar/4500 PSI. This means you’ll be able to get quite a few extremely powerful shots out of the AEA Zeus. The pressure gauge is located on the side of the PCP cylinder. Since the Zeus is unregulated, you’ll have to keep a close eye on the remaining fill pressure. The different barrel lengths and accompanying cylinder sizes naturally affect the weight of this exceptionally powerful airgun.
• 406 mm (16’’) weighs 4264 gram
• 610 mm (24’’) weighs 4672 gram
• 813 mm (32’’) weighs 5260 gram
This means the AEA Zeus has a perfect balance -regardless of which barrel length you choose- and that has the weight to inherently diminish muzzle rise as much as possible.
Please note: only shoot this airgun when it contains more than 150 bar of air pressure. A shot below this pressure threshold may damage the valve.
