Pocket Knife Bestech Irida Blue
This Bestech Irida Blue EDC pocket knife has quite a radical design and is built with an utterly impressive spec list of high-end materials.
Just look at the sleek and very comfortable to hold handle, that’s made from steel liners with scales that are made from blue G10. G10 is a weather proof, impact proof, waterproof and hardwearing laminate of woven fibreglass and synthetic resin that offers a very good grip.
The blade of the Bestech Irida Blue is made from 14C28N steel, made by Sandvik (hardness HRC 59-61). The high amount of chromium ensures a high corrosion resistance and besides that, the blade is great at holding an edge and when sharpening eventually is needed, rest assured the material is easy to sharpen.
You can open the 97 mm long blade one-handed by using the flipper. The opening movement is free of friction, smooth and play free, thanks to the ceramic bearings used. Once deployed, the blade is secured in a liner lock. It’s notable Bestech has used a completely straight spine on the Irida Blue, making for a sharp tip that’s perfect for detailing. The slot in the blade is, of course, mainly a nice style element, but it also doubles as a ‘nail nick’ for opening. The spine of the blade has some jimping to place your thumb on.
The Bestech Irida Blue has a tip-up pocket clip, made from a strong and light Ti-6AL-4V titanium alloy and the pivot is secured in two recessed washers.
