The Sako Quad Synthetic Varmint features a sturdy bolt which guides the cartridges smoothly from the removable 5 round magazine into the chamber. This bolt offers smooth operation because of its 50° bolt stroke.

Next to this, this bolt-action rifle features a heavy, free floating barrel which reduces vibration and recoil. The barrel is cold hammer forged, which increases the materials density and durability.
