The Beretta 691 Vittoria is one of the first hunting over and unders that uses Steelium barrels, normally used in the top layers of sport shooting. This barrel features and extended forcing cone, reducing gradually from cartridge width to actual barrel size over a length of 360 mm, which is a lot longer than the conventional used forcing cone. The reason forcing cones are normally shorter, is the technical difficulty that lies in machining a longer cone, making this Beretta barrel relatively unique. The much longer cone results in a more consistent and constant pattern, but also produces less recoil and less muzzle rise.
Because the Beretta 691 Vittoria is especially designed for the female anatomy, the stock measures just 345 mm and the pistol grip has a reduced circumference. Performance wise however, nothing is reduced on this shotgun with full length 710 barrel.
The receiver has a Renaissance style floral engraving and the fore end and grip feature a fine checkering. Weighing just 2800 grams, the Beretta 691 Vittoria is very light.
