Thermal Imaging Camera Pulsar Krypton 2 XG50
With this Pulsar Krypton 2 XG50 thermal imaging camera, you get a multifunctional tool. The thermal imaging camera can serve as a clip-on, allowing you to mount it onto a rifle scope using a PSP-B adaptor. The rifle scope itself then effectively becomes a thermal imaging camera. Aside from that, you can also use it as a monocular, thanks to the accessory you get with the package. That accessory can easily be mounted onto the thermal imaging camera, which makes switching between the two styles a breeze. The Pulsar Krypton 2 XG50 thermal imaging camera has a lightweight design that weighs only 580 grams, so it won’t weigh down your rifle scope and rifle too much. Its housing is made of a magnesium alloy and the thermal imaging camera has an IPX7 waterproof rating. This means it can be submerged to a depth of one metre for 30 minutes maximum.
Crisp images are of paramount importance and the Krypton 2 more than delivers in that regard. It has a 640x480p thermal imaging sensor with a pixel pitch of only 12 µm and a NETD of 40 Mk. It provides a highly detailed thermal image, which enables you to clearly observe your surroundings. The detection range of no less than 2300 metres ensures you can observe a large area without having to relocate. All that information is presented on a full-HD multi-colour AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920x1080p. The refresh rate of 50 Hz provides a fluid image and a comfortable viewing experience. While observing, you can choose between eight different colour modes, such as white hot, black hot, red hot, rainbow, ultramarine, red monochrome, sepia and violet. The thermal imaging camera has a decent Field of View of 15.4x11.5 m at a distance of 100 m.
The Pulsar Krypton 2 XG50 thermal imaging camera is not only suited for observing. It can also be used to take pictures and videos. This function allows you to easily capture/record your observations, so you can take another look at them later. Pictures are saved in a JPG format and videos are saved in an MP4 format. Pictures and videos have a resolution of 1024x768p and everything is stored in the internal memory of 16 GB. Saved files can easily be transferred to another storage device by using the USB-C cable or by using the Stream Vision 2 app. That app can be downloaded free of charge for Android and iOS smartphones and you can use it to view your pictures and videos in real-time. The thermal imaging camera can be operated by using the buttons located on the left side of the frame. They allow you to easily start recording a video or to change settings to improve your experience.
This Pulsar Krypton 2 XG50 thermal imaging camera provides in a number of needs and it has a solid battery life as well. A fully charged IPS7 Li-ion battery pack -located on top of the device- can power the thermal imaging camera up to a maximum of eleven hours.
